2 Stars is generous but I gave it 3. Pros: Looks nice, is comfortable in the hand, battery life is good, never pinches and is relatively quiet. Con's :(the reasons you want a nose trimmer are not solved. It misses many nose and ear hairs as they do not seem to be directed into the slots easily and takes much time since it misses so many and doesn't cut them short enough (it is why there is no pinch). You can hear it working as it slows the blades, but you look and still see the ones missed. Frustrating! Seems like there has got to be an efficient model that is powered. I may end up with the well rated manual model. I feel it is not worth the money and there is a good chance of disappointment.

I have to say that the Panasonic ER411 performed rather well for approximately 18 months. Considering I used the trimmer approximately once per month, I am not entirely sure I would recommend this product.
Pros: effective at trimming nose and ear hair with comparatively little "tugging" although it did bring me to the point of tears a couple of times.
Cons: Simply did not last very long. After 2-3 very careful cleanings, the flimsy cutting mechanism fell apart.

I had paid quite a lot of money a number of years back for a Sharper Image nose hair trimmer. It worked very well for all these years. A replacement was required and one for that particular trimmer was not available. So I did my research and figured the panasonic 411NC should be a good one. Well it wasn't good.......It was GREAT! Trims very close, the way I like it, and is very easy to use and clean. This is, by far, the best trimmer I have ever owned!

Does what is supposed to do.. Easy to clean.. Durable.. I've dropped it on the floor several times.. I think i've only had to replace the battery 3 times...

The decision to purchase this product was based on the old theory, "you get what you pay for". Not true here! This being the most expensive nose and ear hair groomer offered on most sites, I assumed it was the best! On the contrary. It was very painful when used in both my nose and ears. The rotary tip literally grabs the hair and pulls it from its location. Ouch!! My advise...go with the $20.00 model!
